I see daily requests for obscure comedies to binge, so here are five I've enjoyed. (Netflix U. S. ) Episodes - Writers of a sophisticated British comedy series move to L. A. to make an American version of the show, only to be saddled with insane Hollywood executives and a difficult star - Matt LeBlanc, playing a (hopefully) very exaggerated version of himself. Five seasons on Netflix. I'm Sorry - Andrea Savage plays an (again, hopefully! ) exaggerated version of herself - a comedy writer, wife and mother trying to make it all work. Lots of uncomfortable moments (and extremely crude language) - it's a good cross of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Better Things. Supporting cast is hilarious, especially Jason Matzoukas as her best friend/writing parter. Two seasons newly released on Netflix - I think this one will become a breakout hit shortly! Get Shorty - Based on the fantastic Elmore Leonard book (which was also made into a movie starring John Travolta, but the show has not ties to the movie).

Axe can't shake the feeling that Gilbert kept evidence (the tainted slide) of the Ice Juice maneuver. But there's a blind spot: Gilbert has never used Axe's pay-offs for personal gain. Sure, he's accepted dirty money, but he's donated it. Or used it to fund research. Axe doesn't understand someone like this, and it's to his detriment.
